    This should be your carb. Make sure gasket #18 has hole in proper place when mounting. Also make sure idle screws #19 are screwed out CCW 1-3/4 turns from light seat as a starting point

    Should be a oil tank in boat. If so follow the 2 wires to engine and disconnect them Why did you replace the fuel pump?

    No need for crank shims? 1984 Merc 35 HP S/N 06491413

    All inline motors(2-6cyl) need the crank end play checked, especially when swapping cranks.
